Work visa and residence permit
This route starts with a Greek employer: the employer obtains the work approval in Greece, you obtain the national D visa at the Greek consulate where you live, and after entry you apply for the first work residence permit. The file is prepared by our Greek partner office and a Greek-qualified lawyer; three authorities decide their own milestones.

Three authorities, three milestones
The employer’s work approval
Applied for by the employer in Greece and approved by the labour authority. Without it, the consulate will not accept a D visa application for work.
The consulate’s D visa
Filed at the Greek consulate with jurisdiction over where you live, with an interview in person; criminal record, medical and insurance follow the consulate’s list.
The immigration authority’s first permit
Filed after entry within the permitted window: receipt certificate, fingerprints, then the card. The permit’s category and term follow the employment.
How it works
- 01
Free consultation
Employer, role, nationality and consulate are checked, the route confirmed, and a written quote issued.
- 02
Sign the agreement, pay the engagement fee
Pay €5,000 by bank transfer after signing the service agreement, with the account and breakdown on your case page; scope and milestones are in the agreement.
- 03
Employer’s work approval
The lawyer and the employer prepare and file the application and await the approval document.
- 04
Consulate filing and interview
Criminal record, medical, insurance and legalised translations prepared to the consulate’s list; you file and attend in person.
- 05
Visa issued, balance, first permit
The €10,000 balance is paid once the D visa is issued; after entry the permit application is filed, the receipt certificate obtained, fingerprints taken and the card collected; onboarding items handed over.
What you need to start
- 1 · Passport photo page
The applicant’s.
- 2 · Offer letter or draft employment contract
Whatever the employer has issued so far.
- 3 · CV and the role
The kind of role decides the approval route.
- 4 · Country of residence and family
Decides the consulate and the family arrangements.
Common questions
No. A D visa for work rests on the work approval, which the employer applies for. Find the employer first, then start.
The work approval, the consulate’s appointment and examination, and the permit examination after entry are three separate clocks set by the authorities, so we publish no total.
It depends on the permit category and the family-reunification rules; we explain it for your case at the consultation, and family visas and permits are itemised separately.
The €15,000 is the service fee. Charges for the work approval, the visa, the permit application and the card, plus insurance, medical and legalised translations, are collected by each body and itemised in the agreement.
Have an employer? Check the route first
Tell us who the employer is, the role, which country you live in and whether family comes with you, and we will say which route and what it needs. English or Chinese, usually same-day.
Every price on this page is the final price, with Greek VAT at 24% already included — nothing is added at checkout. Government / fund / bank / insurance third-party costs sit outside our fee.
